Oh, she's also reached a pinching and biting stage. Fun times! It's not done maliciously Especially the pinching. Instead, it's like an absent minded type of activity. She'll grab onto someone's body part, dig her nails in, and pinch the skin between her nails. Sometimes it's done when she's half asleep. The biting on the other hand, she'll bite and then laugh. Like it's a game. She instead of drawing attention to it (which is what she wants to make it a game), we're trying to ignore and move away. Pinch my arm? Then the arm moves away. Hopefully a bit of social exclusion combined with no attention will cease the behavior....eventually.
Dislikes: Getting her nose wiped or suctioned. Being put to bed. With two babies and no adults around solely dedicated to taking care of Corinne, the resources just aren't there between M and me to allow for someone to lay with Corinne each time she needs to go to sleep. Which means we've resorted to CIO (cry it out). Not ideal, but with her new trick of waking up every 90 minutes at night....ALL NIGHT LONG, it's pretty much the only viable option. So she'll wake up crying, crawl to the door, tantrum at the door for awhile (anywhere between 5 minutes to 2 hours), and then fall asleep next to the door. I'll go in after she's been crying for a couple minutes, pick her up, kiss her, say "good night", lay her back down on the bed and leave. As soon as I leave, she throws a tantrum of all tantrums. Screaming, crying, banging her head against the door, the works. A neighbor probably thinks we are beating her with a red hot poker.

However, she did surprise me the other day. For the past 17 months, I've seen pictures of friends' babies who "just" fall asleep in the middle of playing, or eating. I've internally laughed (sometimes sobbed) to myself thinking "Ha! My kid would NEVER do that". Instead it takes an act of Congress for her to fall asleep.
Until the other day.
