Holding Evan
Corinne loves holding (and torturing Evan). Poor guy can only handle getting his eyes poked so many times. Each fine I took Evan away, Corinne would sign "more!"

21 months
Likes: Dried apricots (she goes through about 10 a day), peanut butter flavored baking chips (we've resorted to a food based reward system for speech), taking showers with me (if I dare take a shower without her she cries in protest), spinning around and around, and looking at pictures of herself. She loooooves to look at pictures of people, but mostly herself. I'm ordering her a shutterfly book filled with photos as a Valentine's Day present.
Dislikes: Being cleaned off after a meal, diaper changes
She recently popped through a lower incisor and a lower canine. Christ on a cracker, those were a rough 5 nights. One night, I lost count after 15 of the number of times she got up.

5 months
Size: somewhere between 6m and 9m clothes
He has discovered toys, and will actively reach for them and play with them. But the best toys ever are his feet! Zomg! Feet!
He usually will go to bed around 8:30p, and will sleep through until 4:30a or 5:30a, but every second night or so, he likes to have a meal around 12:30a, 3:30a, and then 6:30a.
He actually sleeps better in the rock n play than in bed with me. I think he likes the tilted sleeping surface better.
He's not spitting up as much, maybe once or twice a day. If he sits up after eating, then he spits up, but if he stays reclined, he doesn't.
Speaking of sitting up, the world has become a lot more interesting to him. He'll "talk" to anyone who wants to smile in his direction.
He doesn't cry very much at all. Instead, he'll do this dinosaur sounding whine thing which is more annoying than crying. When he starts doing that, I know he's tired and ready for a nap.
For the most part, I can't believe just how easy he is. I can set him down on the floor while I make dinner, or go to the bathroom, or do anything. Sometimes he'll get into a "I want to be held" stage, but it's not 24/7 like it was with Corinne.
