Of course, with every GD Disney movie there are 20 minutes of previews and then a "short film" before the actual film starts. Which sucks if you have little kids whose max is about an hour and change for staying in their seats for a movie.
So 15 minutes into the actual movie, lunch and lunch eaten, Evan declares (loudly) "I get up now. Bye bye Mommy."
Uh, no little boy, you don't get up now.
I enticed him to stay in his seat by offering a boob. This is why I don't push weaning...I lose my ace in the hole. So he accepted the offer of the boob and then fell asleep. He slept for about an hour.
15 minutes prior to the end of the movie, about the time Evan woke up, Corinne decided she had enough and wanted to go home. So I pulled out my final ace in the hole: candy. They happily ate their ziplock snack bag of candy until the credits rolled.
So all in all, a fairly peaceful movie going experience, but Evan isn't ready for another movie anytime soon.
The movie was really cute, funny, and well done. I recommend it to children 6+ and adults, alike.
After the movie, we went home where Corinne fell asleep and Evan joined his daddy in the basement to play a little guitar hero.
