Evan's 4th birthday

I made this cake for his "party" today (we had two friends come over for dinner). I took him to the store earlier and showed him the chocolate box cake mix and the white cake mix.

Me: Evan, what kind of cake would you like for your birthday party?
Evan: Well, I think my friends like brown and some other friends like white so I think we should get both so they'll have a choice.
Me: nope. You get to pick one. Brown or white?
Evan: both! My friends want both!
Me: pick one.
Evan: well, I like brown, so I'll pick brown.

However once we got home, I decided I wanted to do a swirl cake, so I made two chocolate layers with blue swirled and the middle layer is blue. I thought the height of a three later cake looked better. So, he ended up getting both brown and white.

Kid wanted a spiderman cake, and I think I pulled it off pretty well.

During dinner, after the kids were excused to go play, we were informed that Evan and Arden (the tall one) were getting married. Corinne was the flower girl and threw imaginary flowers down the stairs for the bride and groom. Then they went on a honeymoon to Hawaii (the couch), and had a baby. All in the span of about 5 minutes. Kids these days move fast.

Before we left for Disneyworld, I brought in some "spiderman cookies" for his school party. I was going to home make something, then I remembered I had to pack and get the house ready, so that was a big "nevermind".
