Weight: 20lb 7oz (between 10th and 25th percentile)
Length: 29.5 inches (between 10th and 25th percentile)
He wears size 12m clothes and size 3 shoes.
Dislikes: when a toy (or what he perceives as a toy) is taken from him, not being picked up when he wants to be, being put IN his carseat (he's fine once he's in, but the process doesn't appease him), and someone else holding him when mom or dad is in sight (if he can't see us, then it's fine if another person read: lady holds him).
Overall, he's just a happy smiley guy. He's settling into a two nap routine: one around 10a and one around 2p, with meltdown around 8p.
But the biggest news is that he recently turned a corner in regards to sleeping. He's slept through the night a handful of times this month. The secret is stomach sleeping. Before, when he was put on his back, he just stayed there like an overturned turtle. He never tried to roll over. I don't think he even knew it was an option. If he was on his belly, then he had no issue pulling himself into a sitting position, but on his back, he just lay there. Which was great for diaper changes or if I didn't want him to move from a particular spot. But one day, he just realized that rolling over was an option and he chooses to exercise that option every chance he gets. Changing his diaper is now like wrestling an alligator. I have to pin him down with my arms and pray he doesn't choose those 3 seconds to unleash the fire hose right in my face. It was right around tis time he also started pulling to stand. He's not yet cruising, but he likes to pull to stand. And climb stairs. Now, I have to start locking the gate downstairs for him.
But going back to the sleeping thing, he sleeps much better on his belly. The nights he sleeps through the night are the nights he flips over onto his belly and falls asleep. Those are also the nights I'm madly checking the video monitor every 45 minutes because the only explanation for him not making a sound throughout the night is obviously a catastrophic one.
He looooooves to eat. Whereas Corinne will be done eating 3 minutes after she starts (except for on the days we need to leave after breakfast...then breakfast takes 30+ minutes)...toddler's law, as long as I keep putting food on his tray, he will happily sit there and keep shoveling it in for at least 30 minutes. Which makes taking him out to restaurants a dream. He's not exactly a clean eater (probably 25% of food actually makes it INTO his mouth), and he has an affinity for rubbing his head with a food covered hand, so a hazmat crew is usually required for clean up. If we're out in public, even with a full bib, I usually need to change his outfit after a meal.
