Sunday morning
Evan loudly opened the door to my bedroom (I say "my" because M is in CA this week so it's allllllllll mine) at 7:12 this morning, waking me up. He was carrying his stuffed bear and his stuffed Gil.
Evan: Good morning Mommy. I'm soooo happy to see you. I slept all night. Bear slept all night. Gil slept all night. I go have boob, ok?
Okay little buddy. I'm happy to see you too.

Weekly happenings
M and I took her on a dinner and movie date. First we went to an Asian place for dinner, then we saw 3-D Home. At first she didn't want to put on the glasses. Then I told her that if she didn't want them, I could give them to another kid.
She put the glasses on, quickly.
Armed with a full bag of popcorn, a parent on each side, and a water bottle, she made it through the whole movie. About 20 minutes before the end, she said "I want to go home", but was quietly placated with "soon".

Potty training
Today was a red letter day. Both kids pooped in the potty.
I have been promising the world to Corinne for depositing the smallest of turds in the potty. Candy, chocolate, dolls, ice cream, shrimp, whatever she expressed interest in. Those offers have been met with screaming "no I don't wanna poop in potty!"
Today she found an empty Twix Easter egg wrapper. She wanted one. I told her she could have one if she pooped in the potty (keeping in mind I have previously offered her everything from fun sized to king size candy bars for pooping without luck. She said "ok" and left the room.
Five minutes later, she comes running into the dining room screaming that she pooped in the potty. M and I look at each other in shock and run to the bathroom to see. Lo and behold, she pooped in the little plastic potty (I don't know why she chose that as she usually pees in the big toilet, but whatevs, gift horse yada yada).
It wasn't just a tiny "check the box" poop. Oh no. It was a huge, massive, adult size pile. That puppy deserved the Twix chocolate egg AND a new Elsa Barbie doll. Corinne was so proud of herself.
Then, Evan saw that she got the Elsa doll that had been sitting in its box on the mantle, for seemingly ever, just waiting for a poop. And he wanted the Anna Barbie that also had residence on the mantel. So he announced he was going to poop on the potty.
He ran back into the room no less than five times to announce he went poop in the potty, but upon inspection, we learned it was wishful thinking.
Another few minutes went by and he ran in again to announce his success. M and I were deep in conversation over the computer and the landscape quotes, so I told Evan "ok keep pooping, I'll check in five minutes", as his butt was now famous for crying wolf. Then Corinne screamed "Evan pooped potty!"
So, that required a check. Yep, about a quarter size poop was in the plastic potty. Evan won himself the last of the Halloween fun size Snickers (no more Easter egg candy bars), and the Anna doll.
As long as both kids aren't allowed to wear pants or watch TV, they'll pee in the potty. Put pants on, and it's an invitation for the pee to fly.
I wonder if I can send them to nursery school naked from the waist down?
Potty training sucks ass. Pun intended.
