School is closed

Since school has been closed for the last two weeks due to "weather" aka a lone snowflake, or a temperature below 30, we tried our hand at indoor activities. Indoor activities consist of 10 minutes of mom prepping, 10 minutes of mom cleaning up, and 5 minutes of kid fun.

Lame. So instead, we went outside. First up was jumping in muddy puddles.

Thank God for bleach.

Then we tried the park.

Chocolate

The kids learned that not all chocolate is equal. Upon seeing the melted gooeyness of the Baker's Chocolate today, they HAD TO HAVE IT.

They did not heed my warning. Even after Evan tried it first and loudly proclaimed "I don't like it", Corinne dove in without a backwards glance.

Natural consequences, yo.

Birthday cake

Like moths to a flame:

Winter

Winter....it didn't arrive until the middle of February, and then it decided to hang around for awhile. School has been closed more days than it has been open this month. Momma needs a break.

These buds are jumping the gun, a bit.

I told Evan to smile. This is what I got.

Corinne has been asking for snow for awhile. She finally got her wish.
 But, it wasn't much snow.

Snow isn't a reason to let your fashion sense suffer.

I showed her how to roll the snow to create a snowman.

It wasn't much of a snowman.

Soccer

Soccer is played by throwing a ball through the holes in the net.
