Corinne's 5th birthday
It was more like a birthday weekend. On Saturday, we had a small party at home with just our family:
Then on Sunday, we did the first ever "invite the whole class" party. We had 22 kids RSVP and 20 showed. Never did hear from the twins who RSVPed yes and didn't show.....
It was, of course, a Frozen themed party.
I had fun making it Frozen themed:
The kids painted Olaf at an art studio:
Corinne loved the activity. It was right up her alley. As we were leaving she said "This was the best birthday party ever!"
Corinne made this poster board (she did all the gluing, writing, and decorating) to bring to school on Monday (her actual birthday) to show and tell. It made a nice decoration for her party, too:

My apologies to the turkey leg eaters
Today I took both kids to the Renaissance Fair. We were at the "food court" and sitting at the outdoor picnic tables. I was getting Corinne situated with her lunch on one end of the table and when I looked up, Evan was on the other side of the table, pants dropped down to his ankles, taking a leak on the grass.
I didn't know what to do. Do I try to catch it in my hands? Pull up his pants so he could pee in his shorts instead? I told him to stop the flow but he kept going and he apparently has a gallon sized bladder because he kept going and going and going. So I sat down on the bench and let him finish.
My apologies to all who had to watch my son pee while eating a turkey leg.
Although on second thought, I was probably giving the faire goers an extremely authentic 1500s experience.
