Dislikes: sharing, being hurried, when Evan eats her food, getting scratched by the cat, having her hand held while walking in a parking lot
Before we leave the house, we need a put at least one bow in her hair, get her "co-Tah" (coat; even if it's 80 degrees outside), and "mah shoes". For attention, she'll tell us she has "a bite" somewhere on her body, so we must kiss it to make it feel better. She apparently has lots of "bites".
About two weeks before she turned 3y, she must have gotten the memo that she was becoming a threenager because her tantrums have been kicked up a notch. I'm recording this here so that my memory doesn't become soft with the annals of time and I spout off such gems as "oh my kids never acted that way". About 1-3 times a day, she'll throw an epic tantrum: screaming, thrashing, laying down on the floor, etc. The 2s have NOTHING on the 3s. Hopefully it only lasts for a few months. Fingers crossed.
But, it's not all tantrums. She knows her shapes, all the letters, a few numbers, and can follow two step directions. She sleeps from about 9:30p-7:30a, and most days takes a 1-2 hour nap. Sometimes she doesn't nap and passes out around 8p. I'm looking forward to time of no naps. She is a lot of fun, and some of the stuff she comes up with has us howling in laughter. She likes to dance and take a bow afterwards
She will not ride in the grocery cart, but if she sees Evan riding in the stroller, then she MUST ride in the stroller. She loves jumping and bounce houses. She also loves older girls. Her ideal is a 4 year old girl, and will gladly follow her around in an idolizing way. She relaxes by rubbing someone's ear (mine or M's, or really anyone next to her).
We didn't have a birthday party for her this year. Instead, we had a small family party at home. She didn't really "get" that it was her birthday, but she really enjoyed baking the cake and unwrapping presents.
